Communications Volunteer


We are now recruiting for a Communications Volunteer to work with us for a minimum of a half day per week.

The purpose of the role is

  • To support the Citizens Advice Rushmoor Communications Strategy
  • To promote the service and improve awareness of the benefits of volunteering with Citizens Advice

The sort of work you will be doing will include:

  • Writing press releases and tailored content for local media, Twitter, Facebook and the web.
  • Potential to establish a connection with local broadcast media
  • Contributing to Citizens Advice Rushmoor internal communications and publications
  • Providing communications support for our events such as Scams Awareness and Energy Week

If you have some of the following skills and qualities we’d love to hear from you:

  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Social media knowledge and experience
  • Able to think creatively and flexibly to make good use of content
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service and its equality and diversity policies (training provided)
