Nepali Domestic Abuse Project – Volunteering Opportunity
We’re inviting passionate and community-minded individuals to volunteer with the Nepali Domestic Abuse Project – a vital service supporting the Nepali community in Rushmoor and surrounding areas.
As a volunteer, you’ll work closely with our dedicated team – Caseworker Aliza Gurung and Outreach Worker Arati Thapa – gaining insight into how a culturally specific domestic abuse service is delivered in practice.
This is a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to vital outreach work, and make a lasting impact in the community.
🔍 Volunteer Role Overview
As part of the team, you will:
- Create social media content using information provided by the team
- Help manage and grow our social media presence to raise awareness
- Attend outreach events and help deliver presentations, talks, and workshops
- Liaise with local organisations, faith groups and community leaders to promote the service and arrange future outreach
- Accompany the Outreach Worker to client appointments, in line with safety protocols requiring two team members on off-site visits

- Nepali-speaking (desirable but not essential)
