Facts about Smoking

Swap to Stop

The NHS supports the “Swap to Stop” approach, which encourages people currently smoking to switch from cigarettes to less harmful nicotine products (such as nicotine replacement therapies and in some schemes, vaping products.

The core idea is that while stopping all nicotine use is the healthiest option, moving away from tobacco can greatly reduce harm and can help people work towards quitting completely.
