North Hampshire Mediation Partnership

Free community mediation starting in Rushmoor
The North Hampshire Mediation Partnership is a new service launching later this year, starting in Rushmoor, to help residents resolve disputes and rebuild positive relationships within their communities.
Delivered by Citizens Advice Rushmoor, the service will provide free, confidential mediation to help people talk through problems and find constructive solutions together.
The project is being established with support from Rushmoor Borough Council’s Community Recovery Fund, helping strengthen community relationships and resolve conflict before issues escalate.
What Mediation Can Help With
The service will support residents experiencing disputes such as:
- Neighbour disagreements (for example noise, boundaries, parking or pets)
- Housing or neighbourhood tensions
- Anti-social behaviour concerns
- Communication breakdowns between neighbours or households
Mediation is voluntary, confidential, and free for local residents.
How the Service Will Work
Mediation provides a calm and impartial space where trained mediators support those involved in a dispute to talk through issues and explore possible solutions together.
Mediators do not take sides or make decisions. Instead, they help people communicate more effectively and work towards agreements that everyone can accept.
Referrals
During the initial phase of the project, the service will operate through professional referrals, including from local authorities, housing providers, and community partners.
Volunteer Mediators
The service will be supported by a team of trained Volunteer Mediators from the local community.
Volunteer mediators will receive professional mediation training and ongoing support while helping local residents resolve disputes constructively.
