Volunteering
About volunteering with us
Citizens Advice Rushmoor is looking for volunteers with different life experiences – to help us to help others.
We host volunteer recruitment events through the year, our next is on Wednesday 22nd January at 1:30, so that prospective volunteers can learn about what we do and meet our team. If you are interested in attending an event please complete the Volunteer Information Request form and we will be in touch.
You can also complete our Online Volunteer Application Form and we can discuss how to move forward.
We have a variety of roles available depending on what sort of volunteering you are interested in – some examples of our different teams are below:
- Welcome Team – the face of Citizens Advice Rushmoor, the first contact for clients facing big challenges in their lives – they help clients to get the right support.
- Advice Team – train as an Assessor to guide clients to a way forward for the problems they face – or take that training to the next step become an Adviser, to deliver full, tailored advice and help on more complex issues.
- Research & Campaigns Team to use our evidence, client stories and data to influence change – that is how we can improve things for everyone in our communities, and prevent problems from occurring.
You can read more about the different roles we have available by clicking here.

What is volunteering with us like?
You can hear from some of our existing volunteers on why they volunteer with us:
The training and support we offer works in a stages, and you are supported through different levels to reach nationally recognised standards. We don’t expect you to come with any prior knowledge, and we welcome people with a range of life experience.
We are proud of our diverse team, with volunteers from all sorts of different age groups, communities and cultural backgrounds. Our volunteers are supported to deliver a great service in sometimes challenging situations – that is what keeps people coming back: you are always learning and never bored!
