Chair of Audit Committee – Closed
We are now looking to recruit to a new Trustee to join our Trustee Board who can also act as Chair of our Audit Committee. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual, who will be able to make a strong contribution to ensuring the effective governance of our organisation. We are keen to find an energetic and enthusiastic person, who can contribute to the continuing success of our charity, making a real difference to the lives of local people.
Citizens Advice Rushmoor is an innovative, forward looking and active organisation. We are particularly proud of our strong local partnerships, and our track record in providing key services to meet local community needs.
Trustees undertake a voluntary role, working together as a Board to share responsibility for the overall governance of the organisation. Specific duties include:
- Providing strategic leadership, and directing business planning
- Ensuring effective use of resources to meet client and community needs
- Taking formal responsibility as an employer
- Overseeing sound financial management and reporting
We would welcome applications from individuals with previous experience in Charity Governance, Financial reporting and Audit or Compliance and Risk Management. We want our Board to reflect the diversity of the local area, so welcome interest from all members of our multi-cultural community. If you have a passion to develop our services and are motivated to work with us to improve our offer and support to the people of Rushmoor you will be a perfect addition.
Becoming a Trustee will also give you opportunities to develop strategic skills and gain new perspectives, through being part of an organisation with an established reputation for leadership and recognised best practice. As a member of the national Citizens Advice service, we are well supported professionally through training, networking opportunities and an extensive knowledge base.
