Citizens Advice Farnborough office to move in April

People seeking help from Citizens Advice in Farnborough will have a new improved space to go to in April.  Meanwhile, we are continuing to deliver the usual service from our current premises in Elles Hall.

The new Citizens Advice offices will open in April 2019, and will be conveniently located on the Rushmoor Borough Council site, with easy access to parking and local transport.

The new, modern layout will offer private rooms for advice as well as an open plan area with computers for client use. This will especially benefit people claiming Universal Credit, if they need support with online applications. Clients who need help using computers can also sign up for workshops to boost their digital skills.

The new location of Citizens Advice Farnborough, within the civic offices, will also be handy for clients visiting the Council for housing, council tax or benefits-related issues.

The office move is linked to the redevelopment of Farnborough’s new Civic Quarter.  The Community Centre on the same site closed at the end of December.

Alex Hughes, Chief Officer said: “Although we will all be sad to leave the building where we have delivered the service for so many years, we know the new offices will offer some great opportunities to improve our service, and modernise the way we work.  We have been fully supported by Rushmoor Borough Council in the move, to protect the values and principles that underpin our service – so our clients can continue to be assured of our independence, impartiality and confidentiality.”

Citizens Advice Rushmoor welcomes volunteers, and is currently recruiting to a number of roles.  For more information email [email protected] or call 01252 894296
